Magnetic separator

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design the structural conception of belt magnetic separator with permanent magnet designated to separate unwanted ferromagnetic material waste from the machining of aluminium. This report contains an overview of equipment for the separation and design of concrete solutions to the magnetic separator. According to the input parameters are calculated all the parameters necessary for correct machine design. Attachments to this technical report are documentation drawings of selected parts and assemblies.
Magnetic separator for recycling construction and demolition waste

This work contains a search of available equipment for the separation of ferromagnetic material and the design of a specific design solution of a magnetic separator for the recycling of ferromagnetic waste from construction and demolition waste. It also contains a concept for the structural design of magnetic separator for separating small-sized industrial waste. According to specified parameters was performed functional calculation and strength calculation of separator frame. This work includes documentation drawings containing assembly drawing and selected detailed drawings.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design the structural conception of magnetic separator designated to separate small-sized industrial waste. This report provides an overview of facilities of worldwide manufacturers that are used for magnetic separation of steel scrap. Furthermore, it offers an assessment of variants for technical solutions to structural nodes of magnetic separator; this is followed by a selection of specific solution. According to the input parameters, all the parameters necessary for correct machine design are computed. These computations also include the justification of selected table values, placement, surface roughness, geometric tolerances, materials and heat treatment of the individual parts and assemblies. Attachments to this technical report are documentation drawings of selected parts and assemblies.
The construction of the magnetic metal powder separator

This thesis deals with the design of construction for recyclation metal powder, which is used in multi-material 3D printing with SLM technology. More specifically it is separation of mixed metal powders by magnetic separator, which is capable of separating two powders with the same distributions. Based on knowledge from industrial separators and successful experiment method of separating with magnetic drum was chosen, on which is equally driven metal powder from vibrating feeder. In executed experiment was discovered, that the method is appropriate for separating non-magnetic powder but for high quality separation of magnetic powder must be adjusted speed of feeding. Next was processed drawing documentation for this variant. By this documentation can be separator assembled and used in laboratory for separating metal powders.
The application of magnetic particles for DNA isolation from cereal products

The thesis has been focused on micro method for isolation of PCR- ready DNA iusing magnetic particles from cereal products. Cereal biscuits and cereal products for babies were selected for the analysis. These were homogenized using plastic copist in lysis buffer with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The homogenates were purified using chloroform- octanol mixture. The effect of isopropanol in the preparation of homogenates was tested, too. Homogenates were used for DNA isolation by magnetic particles. Two ways to isolate magnetic particles with bounded DNA (magnetic separator and magnetic needle have been tested. Isolated DNA was analyzed spectrophotometrically its concentration and purity were assessed. . After that, amplification of the DNA was tested in PCR. Two sets of primers specific for plant ribosomal DNA were used for their amplification. PCR products of expected length 700 bp and 220 bp were detected by agarose gel electrophoresis. It was shown that DNA isolated from seeds and cereal products using magnetic particles was in PCR-ready quality.
